The role:
The Web Analytics Implementation Specialist is a member of the Marketing Team who will work with stakeholders across analytics, SEO and paid media teams to implement tracking requirements using tools like Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. As a technical specialist, you will support the measurement and optimization of the web data infrastructure for our clients. You know enough HTML and JavaScript to be dangerous and keep up with the latest trends and how to apply them to help our clients achieve their measurement goals. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our clients are accurately collecting data that has an impact on their business.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is getting started in analytics measurement - you’ll have an opportunity to work on tracking and analytics projects and perfect your craft. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing new tracking code for our clients using tools like Google Tag Manager (GTM) for platforms like Google Analytics (GA), Adobe Analytics, and others
  • Implement and maintain digital campaign pixels for platforms including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Bing Ads, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Execute, often with support of our development team, GTM implementation strategies
  • Monitor and troubleshoot tagging and tracking issues
  • Support existing analytics implementation architecture to ensure data is collected properly and accurately
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to enhance clients’ data collection and business intelligence activities
  • Completing assigned tasks timely and accurately
  • Identify opportunities to solve problems using analytics

Required Skills:

  • Familiar with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager - you should be extremely comfortable using these and similar platforms
  • Proven experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand measurement requirements and execute a tracking strategy using a tag management tool like Google Tag Manager in tandem with internal or external development teams
  • Ability to dig into specific requests and identify the underlying business need 
  • Experience running end-to-end GA + GTM implementations is nice-to-have but not need-to-have
